Auray : Le quai de Benjamin Franklin

Auray is a medieval city of character in the department of Morbihan, in the Brittany region.
Where is it located?
The commune of Auray is located in the south of Brittany, in the Morbihan region, about twenty kilometres west of Vannes.
The history of Auray
In the 13th century, the Dukes of Brittany built a bridge, a port and a castle, creating two distinct districts: the fortress and the town overlooking the port.
Today, the fortress has disappeared, but the town has nevertheless retained its medieval architecture and authenticity.
Two personalities have managed to leave their mark on this port: Benjamin Franklin and Georges Cadoudal.
